Bringing work home is often discouraged. You spend time at work so why would you bring your work home, right?! Well there are exceptions to this rule and I have the best one…my students coming home to see my family ? There are two students (now alumni) in particular to speak of. G (Gurjeet) and Julia have been coming home to see my family for the last three years. Both have become part of my family and feel comfortable coming by and watching my son grow up. We have conversations that are about the future, humorous situations and travel…all things that make up a fun evening.
So I think in this situation I will continue to bringing work home.
