This is what happens when old age meets new age

I am not shy to say that I am probably not too immersed in the world of technology. Sure I know how to turn on a PC and make it do some stuff. You have to remember that I still like to write letters ? Facebook to me is a way to stay connected and Twitter a way to share with the world. This year I have really hit the new age (well not so new for most of you but still new to me). Less than a year ago I got a smart phone and I am sure it does a lot but I use it to call and text people. I registered for itunes and got it onto my laptop…but if I am a PC user, how can I use iTunes??? (what I asked myself)

It all started when my mp3 player was acting up and I thought it was time to get a new one. With a $50 London Drugs gift card, I thought I should be able to get something decent. The clerk at the store was not too keen on the units in the price range I was looking at but suggested that I get a micro SD card for my smart phone and use it as an mp3 player…I never really thought about it that way before. So I got the SD card, now I had to try to put music on to my phone. I played around and finally I got it to work. Now I had to figure out how to get my tunes from the MP3 player to the laptop and smart phone…I worked at it and it seems to have worked. I was also able to use my stereo-system and use my smart phone to plug in. Now today I got an iPad. Yes, on to the new age again. I have learned that I can tether it to my smart phone too! I am on a roll here folks. I am overwhelming myself in technology and it is pretty interesting. I can just hear all of you out there looking at me as the person who is discovering things that you already knew. What is next?! I am pretty comfortable with what I have accomplished to date. This is what happens when old age collides with new age…my personal hard drive (brain) is getting pretty full so I will need to back up, delete content and start learning more before I over-ride my information and become forgetful.
