So after almost 8 years at SFU, I have to say that one thing I had not done but wanted to do was to attend an SFU varsity sporting event. Since we are doing 50/50-2012, I want to try new things so today I made it to SFU vs UBC in ice hockey. Now 2 months ago, I did not even know that we had an ice hockey team and to this day, many people are finding out that we do. Also, our team is very good. My thought is we have to throw a lot behind this and get fans out to show our support. At $5 a ticket, a very good deal!
Today, it was an SFU/UBC inaugural tournament. SFU won the match yesterday and UBC won today. Our goalie Gordon was stellar. I am glad that I went out and watched our team and take the tournament. I urge you to consider it and I hope to see you at a future game…I will be going for sure.
One more thing to knock off my list of things that I want to do in 2012!
